Club standards
Respect & Safety Guidelines
We are not a traditional league. We are a club, and it exists for enjoyment, fitness and friendship. Everyone who steps on the floor shares the job of keeping it safe and respectful, on the floor and off it.
Respect and sportsmanship
- Treat every player, referee, volunteer and spectator with dignity and respect.
- Discriminatory, abusive or threatening conduct of any kind is not tolerated.
- Referees’ decisions are final. Disagree if you must, but respect the call.
Abuse of an official or a volunteer carries a season-long suspension or a lifetime ban. No refund is issued.
Player safety and fair play
- No deliberate attempts to injure.
- No body checking and no dangerous play.
- Full equipment, every game, no exceptions.
- No hard offensive picks and no contact away from the ball.
- No hard slashes or cross checks.
- No crease dives on offence. This one protects the goalies.
Penalties and discipline
- Three penalties or six penalty minutes in one game is an automatic ejection.
- Three ejections in a season means removal from the club.
- Fighting is a lifetime ban.
- Serious violations draw a season-long suspension or a lifetime ban, with no refund.
Alcohol and substances
- No alcohol or illegal substances on the floor or on the bench.
- Anyone under the influence does not play that night.
